Raisin cereal

This is a daily feast, cheaper than any cereal you can find in the supermarket I am sure. Delicious, nutritious, and very easy to make. It really lines the stomach before a long day at school or nursery or looking after three children.   The children love making it, and nag me repeatedly to make more whenever we run out. I try to buy the seeds from health food shops, which is usually cheaper as I can buy in bulk. 
  • oat flakes
  • raisins
  • chopped dried apricots
  • other dried fruit, chopped small if desired
  • sunflower seeds
  • pumpkin seeds
  • linseeds
  • dried banana slices
  • dried coconut slices
  1. Pour a large amount of oat flakes into a large mixing bowl.  
  2. Add which ever of the rest of the ingredients you like and have into the oats, in quantities that you desire.  
  3. Mix well and decant into a air tight container.
